REPERTOIRE
The
repertoire of the choir consists mostly of Orthodox chants, the majority of
which have been written especially for the choir by the composer Georgi
Popov.
The choir also
performs classical pieces of Orthodox music written by Bulgarian, Russian
and other composers. It also has a repertoire of Bulgarian folk songs/
OUR CDs
In 2003, the
choir recorded its first CD. It includes
18 Orthodox chants, all of them composed by the composer Georgi Popov. The
CD was recorded during a live concert held in St.
George's Church, Sofia.
In 2006, the
choir released its second CD
with Orthodox chants. The recording was made during a concert in the Church
of the Dormition of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the town of Pancevo,
Serbia,
during the Festival for Orthodox Music “Days of Spirituality”.
